Our Story

Our company was established as a women-owned business by entrepreneur and advocate for gender equality Ms. Nur Ger in 1986 against the backdrop of a patriarchal society in Turkey. Initially operating as a medium size manufacturing house with Ms. Ger’s mother overseeing a small team of sewers that produced cut and sew knit products, we quickly grew in revenue and kind - soon adding wovens garments and started serving the high end contemporary segment of the European market.

In 2012, we opened our New York Office and introduced our garments for the North American market.

In 2017 our CEO Erkan Bekiroglu joined the team with a deep fabric expertise and we expanded our business to fully fashioned, denim, swimwear and seamless.

Today we remain rooted in the spirit of our beginnings, with a focus on niche products with high craftsmanship and a constant caring for our employees and the world we live in.

Our mission is to manifest this harmony in beautifully crafted, impeccably tailored, luxurious and eco-conscious garments. Because we love what we do and the world we live in without compromise.

Our History

1986

Suteks was established by Ms. Nur Ger and her mother Sevim Ger as a family business exporting knitted garments.

1997

We re-strategized to serve high end segment of the fashion industry.

2004

We added sophisticated woven goods into our product line alongside cut and sew knits.

2009

We expanded our presence in European markets with our own developments and collections.

2012

We opened our New York office in USA

2016

We diversified our business to serve equally amongst North American and European Markets

2020

We switched the majority of our production and fabric sourcing to sustainable and eco friendly processes.

2021

We added jeans, seamless, swimwear and flat knit (fully fashioned) garments to our product line.

2022

We introduced our products to the Australian market.
